Creating ideal menu experience and food discovery journeys
The Ask
Reimagining the ideal menu experience for India’s top food & quick commerce delivery platform by understanding how users navigate, search, and make ordering decisions across different entry points and mindsets.
What we delivered
We conducted a UX study using screen sharing to observe learnings on navigation behaviour across journeys, from search, homepage, and restaurant listings to menu exploration.

The study unpacked how navigation patterns shift based on entry point (e.g. search tab, home page tab) expectations based on differences in intent (from quick reorders to exploratory browsing).
We benchmarked the dominant aggregator against competitors doing independent food delivery (like Domino’s) to identify best practices and white spaces for pre-menu and menu listing.
We brought these learnings together to define an ‘ideal menu’, with clear recommendations across categorisation, nomenclature, dish listings, tagging, sorting parameters, and search features.
This included optimising for repeat behaviour (e.g. highlighting past orders upfront/at the top), improving discovery through better structure and labels, and credibility cues like reviews, distance, and imagery.
